Quick and tasty, these breakfast toasts are sure to tempt you out of bed in the morning.

Smoked salmon and avocado on rye

A perfect brekkie, this twist on a classic avocado on toast recipe is the ideal pre-workout fuel.

Serves 2 Prep time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • Rye bread
  • A few slices of smoked salmon
  • ½ avocado
  • 1-2 tsps of chilli paste/sauce
  • The juice of 1 lime (or lemon if you prefer)

Method

  1. Cut the avocado into chunks and mash with a little chilli paste and a squeeze of lime or lemon juice.
  2. Spoon over a slice of rye bread and top with the sliced smoked salmon.
  3. Finish with some salt and pepper and an extra squeeze of lime.
