Bug Loves... the Nike performance hijab!

5. International Women's Day

This March 8 we celebrated all things wonderful about womankind and shared our favourite female athletes on Facebook all day long! We also went for a run around central London with 100 amazing women. Who's your favourite female runner? Join the debate

4. Asparagus season

Packed with fibre, folate, iron, copper, calcium, protein, and vitamins A, C, E and K, the humble asparagus stick is packed with health benefits and we're chuffed to bits that it's now in season. Stick it in your shopping trolley tonight to go with grilled salmon and reap the health benefits.

3. Nike presents the world's first performance hijab

Sportswear giant's Nike have finally recognised the clothing needs of different athletes and become the first major sportswear brand to launch a performance hijab. Last summer, fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad became the first Muslim American woman to compete for the US wearing a hijab at the Olympics, earning a bronze medal at the Rio Games. The future is here!

2. ASICS launch the all-new FlyteFoam

After a stellar launch night sprinting above Tower Bridge, The Running Bug team were delighted to get our hands on a pair of FlyteFoam. Super cushioned, comfy and delightfully bright, we're already huge fans. Get yours here

1. The mighty Laura Muir

After refusing to be stopped from running her victory lap following her double gold win at the European Indoor Championships last weekend, we couldn't love Laura Muir more right now.
