This Mum Runs – south UK
Founder of This Mum Runs Mel Bound started the group in 2014 to provide an avenue for busy mums with work commitments to meet up and run together. After a single Facebook post three years ago, the group has grown into an inspiring community of women, with fellow mums sharing stories online and meeting up to run together in London, Bath and Bristol.
Mums on the Run – Scotland
Aiming to help new mums get moving, Jog Scotland started a group to encourage mums from all walks of life to keep active. Mums on the Run meet-ups offer a space to exercise with other women and have a chat while you're at it, as well as providing advice and guidance for running goals. If childcare is a problem you can also take the little ones along for a whizz in the buggy, too!
Run Together - UK wide
If you're trying to get back into the running groove Run Together have a number of groups across the UK for all abilities, each led by qualified coaches. These groups are great for your fitness, plus they're perfect for soaking up some gentle encouragement and both lighting or reigniting your running mojo.
Keep Running Mummy - London
The Keep Running Mummy group meet in south east London every Sunday evening at 7pm. The runs vary from 25-45 minutes a session and are very inclusive; no-one gets left behind. They come at no cost, although runners are invited to make a small voluntary donation to a local charity that help disadvantaged families. If you're interested in coming along email Claire at email@example.com for more details.
Fit Mums and Friends - Yorkshire
Fit Mums and Friends hold meet-ups all over Yorkshire for all abilities with running, walking and even buggy sessions. If you need an extra boost to get up and moving they also have The Pink Support Scheme which provides one-on-one guidance for your runs, so you're never far away from a helping hand.
This Mum Can Fitness - Manchester
This Mum Can Fitness aims to help mums to thread fitness into their weekly routine without costing an arm and a leg, and we can definitely get on board with that. Reinvigorate your running with a beginner class, take it up a notch with Run Fit or enjoy a relaxed mother and baby exercise class. If you're entirely new to running, they are also kicking off a 10-week coach to 5K programme in January.
