Take on an Advent challenge this Christmas!

Marcothon

Back in 2009 Marco Consani from Glasgow set himself the challenge to run every single day for a month. His wife Debbie decided to join in so they created a Facebook group, and suddenly Marcothon was born. Nearly a decade later this simple advent challenge attracts thousands of Marcothon runners from around the globe.

To participate all you need to do is run either three miles or for 25-minutes (whichever comes first) every single day until Christmas day. That's roughly a whopping 10 hours of running or enough calories burned to eat 25 mince pies without an ounce of guilt. Head over to twitter.com/themarcothon for details.

Advent Running

Since December 2014 Advent Running have been making tracks all over the globe with a community of 4,000 strong runners. The group was born out of a challenge to get people running for 30-minutes for 25 consecutive days throughout December, and the tradition has continued every year.

Post your running selfies, find words of motivation and inspiration and join the group online. twitter.com/adventrunning
